Leaky Gut Syndrome – Signs & Symptoms

Leaky gut syndrome is the term used to damage intestinal lining. These damage intestinal cells are caused by over dose intake of antibiotics, toxins, unhealthy diet and infestation of parasites. Infection does not cause leaky gut syndrome however if you have infection it can worsen the condition of leaky gut syndrome.

Because medical professionals do not provide medical tests on leaky gut syndrome, millions of people may not realize that they already posses leaky gut syndrome. Leaky gut syndrome may be the root of all unknown illnesses.

Symptoms of leaky gut syndrome are so many and sometimes may vary. Abdominal pain is the most common and most felt symptom in leaky gut syndrome. Other symptoms may include heartburn, insomnia, bloating, anxiety, gluten intolerance, malnutrition, muscle pain, fatigue syndrome and allergies. In most cases leaky gut syndrome can e associated with celiac disease, multiple sclerosis fibromyalgia, autism, IBS, skin disease and ulcerative colitis. Let us discuss one by one about the symptoms of leaky gut syndrome and why we do we feel those symptoms:

1.    Insominia. Leaky gut syndrome affects our mood or mood swing. The inability of sleep when you suffer insomnia is associated with mood swing.
2    Excessive flatulence and Constipation. When we suffer from leaky gut syndrome, our cells are also damaged which it becomes hard for our cells to do its function. The cells function is to manufacture enzymes needed for proper digestion of foods.
3;    Inflammation and allergic reaction. In leaky gut syndrome our immune system has to double work because of the malfunction of other system. In this case toxins has the tendency to enter our liver, our liver then flushes out this toxins back into our bloodstream.
4    Malnutrition. In leaky gut syndrome our intestine becomes porous or permeable.Because of this condition it can absorb toxins and may not absorb needed vitamins such as B vitamins, fat soluble vitamins such as A, D, E and potassium. This abnormal process cause a deficiency in vitaminsand nutrients.
5    Fatigue syndrome. In leaky gut syndrome, because of its permeable intestine, harmful molecules can freely enter the bloodstream. Bacteria and viruses also can easily enter. When this happen our immune system which is also being impaired  by the condition would build anti bodies to the best that it so that these foreign bodies may not harm them. Fatigue syndrome and feeling of tiredness becomes a symptoms of our body struggling to fight the threat.
6    Gluten Intolerance. By continued loading of poor digestion more than the body can handle causes gluten intolerance.
7    Loss of memory. There are two kinds of bacteria. The good one and the bad one. Because in leaky gut syndrome immunity is lowered, bad bacteria becomes victorious. The bad bacteria realeases by products such as ammonia which harmful to brain function.
8    Chronic abdominal pain and bloating. In leaky gut syndrome, our intestine becomes porous, that is the reason why we experience abdominal pain.

In order to avoid or prevent leaky gut syndrome, take heed of the following;
•    Minimize or avoid sugary foods and sweets
•    Always have a fibrous food in your diet
•    Do not use too much anti biotics
•    Have a regular colon cleanse to get rid if parasites and impacted fecal wastes

It is also best to avoid milk, chicken, eggs and nuts when you are suffering from leaky gut syndrome.
